For a more extensive trip, the Upper Missouri National Wild and Scenic River from Fort Benton to Kipp Recreation Area (over 149 miles, divided into three sections) gives an incredible journey into an unspoiled land.

The Great Falls Parks and Recreation Department will even teach you how to canoe or kayak during March each year. You'll learn all the basic strokes and safety procedures, and the canoe class includes a river trip at the end of the course to test your skills.
